    Hi Pat,

if all my conclusions with respect to the landing ships at JUNO and GOLD at the beginning of the sortie (post #138) are acceptable enough than there are 2 frames not tagged with a location: S0001. No idea where the location is. Frame 4100 is showing 2 landing ships for which I could not find an exact location. However since the frame before 4099 is located at GOLD and 4101 has the beach in front of Vaux the position must be somewhere on that stretch.

Other than these 2 frames I could find all the exact locations or have laid out arguments and evidences where the location should most likely be. Yep I think I have resolved the vast majority of the frames.

    Hi Hans,

Absolutely brilliant, first class work – very well done indeed.

I know the NCAP guys will be delighted to have this important sortie fully indexed to the maximum extent possible. Also, from our own perspective here on the Forum, the locating of these ‘un-locatable’ frames will be a very important addition to our ‘tool box’ for future research.

    Many thanks,

    Pat
