Hi, I hope this question is appropriate for the forum. I noticed there was a thread on the 307th Airborne Medical Corp and I had a question about other medical units that were located in Ste Mere Eglise. My dad was injured in a glider crash at Ste. Mere Eglise on June 6th and was initially treated at a regimental aid station located at the hospice there, possibly the 505th Regimental Aid station #2. I've been trying to find any documents about this unit (eg, morning reports, after action reports, etc) that might list patients treated on that day. Any information or suggestion of sources that I can check would be appreciated. Thank you, joan stachnik

    Hi Joan,

I'll see if I have any info tonight.
Have you checked Michel de Trez's book 'Sainte Mere Eglise - Photographs of D-Day'? There are quite a few photos taken at the Aid Station therein.

    Regards,

    Pat

Hi Pat, thanks for the reply. Yes I do have that book. There are a few aerial photos of the hospice and some interior photos. I was really looking for reports about the aid station. But I'm not sure if those exist, given the large number of wounded on that day and the need to treat/evacuate so many men quickly. Any information you (or anyone else in the forum) could provide would be appreciated. joan
