Hello, my name is Bob Pearson, a High School teacher from Ipswich. Currently, I am researching for a book on Patrick Dalzel-Job, an RNVR officer who served with 30 AU from April 1944. He landed on UTAH D-Day +4 prior making his way to Cherbourg and later Caen. I am very interested in all aspects of 30 AU work in Normandy and especially if it involves Dalzel-Job. Other names associated with PDJ are Flt Lt Nutting and Captain Charles Wheeler. On one occasion, PDJ had taken a trip with Wheeler on or around August 16th 1944. Their mission was to meet up with a resistance group led by a British Captain and his Sgt W/T operator. The area was Foret de Laz close to Chateauneuf du Faou. If anyone knows of the identity of the British captain, the resistance group or indeed anything on 30 AU in Cherbourg and Caen then I would be pleased to hear from you. Kind regards, Bob
