I'm trying to help the 1/2 brother of a 502 G soldier find out some info. His name is Cloyd Wilson and might be in 502 G, but he might not be was well. He seems to have been in G for Normandy anyway.

The brother found these pics in a scrapbook. Here are the photos and his picture.

In the color group, he is supposed to be the smaller guy above the swastik.
In the B and W, he is 2nd from left in front.

Where was this taken? Where there any 502 G guys miss-dropped in the area?
Is it possible it is not him?
Btw, I tried several times to make the photo right side up.

    Thx

    Hi Kevin,

I don't know about the colour photo, but the B&W is one of several taken at the Marmion Farm near Ravenoville on D-Day. See this GM link for location.

    Hope this helps,

    Pat

We did pretty much conclude the guy is Cloyd. He was the only one in the photo not identified. He did land pretty close to the Mormion Farm.

    Hi Kevin

Nice photos, and good prompt identification.

Hope this helps the half brother - can he contribute anything else to our forum?

    cheers

    Allan
