At the recent 45th anniversary reunion of the WW2 Glider Pilots Association, Major Earl Neal received a special honor of once again flying a C-47, at 100 yrs. of age! Scott Glover, who has brought his restored C-47 to reunions for a number of years, made the generous offer to Major Neal. The flight was filmed, and many of you may have already seen it on Youtube. For anyone who hasn't seen this heartwarming video, it can be viewed here. While a bit tentative at first, Major Neal becomes quite animated around the 2 min mark.

It was an honour to meet Major Earl Neal at the reunion considering he was stationed only some 25 miles away from me here in England.

    Hi all,

Yes, Pat, it is indeed great to have them around for as long as possible. I love to hear their stories.
